Airtel Africa Revenue Reaches $2.98 Billion in First Half 2025
Airtel Africa reported $2.98 billion in revenue for the first half of 2025, representing 24.5% growth in constant currency terms. The telecommunications provider expanded its customer base to 173.8 million subscribers, an 11% increase. Data customers grew 18.4% to reach 78.1 million users during the reporting period.

Mobile Money Platform Drives Financial Inclusion
Airtel Money customers grew 20% to total 49.8 million users. The annualized Total Processed Value for the second quarter of fiscal 2026 increased 36%. Enhanced user engagement and expanding customer base contributed to mobile money revenue growth of 30% in constant currency.
The MyAirtel app adoption and Airtel Spam alert launch supported overall revenue expansion. Tariff adjustments and strong momentum in Francophone Africa regions drove performance. Mobile money remains central to the company’s financial inclusion strategy across African markets.
Profitability Margins Expand on Cost Efficiency
EBITDA reached $1.45 billion, growing 33% during the half-year period. The EBITDA margin expanded to 48.5% from 46% in the prior period. Revenue growth combined with cost efficiency measures boosted profitability metrics.
Profit after tax increased from $79 million to $376 million year-over-year. Foreign exchange gains in the current period compared favorably to substantial losses recorded previously. The company raised capital expenditure guidance to between $875 million and $900 million.
