Bolabet Funds National Sports Centre in Lusaka
A new multi-facility sports centre will be developed at the Heroes National Stadium in Lusaka following a partnership between the government and Bolabet Zambia Limited. The project is framed as a long-term investment in national sports infrastructure and youth development.

Partnership for Sporting Infrastructure
The agreement was formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding signed at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre. Bolabet Zambia Limited, a prominent betting operator, will provide financial and technical resources for the initiative.
The planned centre is described as a state-of-the-art facility. It will feature a basketball court, multipurpose indoor spaces, and modern training amenities. The focus is on creating a hub for nurturing young athletic talent. The centre will also offer wellness programmes and mentorship opportunities.
Government Applauds National Contribution
The Minister of Youth, Sport and Arts, Elvis Nkandu, acknowledged the company’s involvement. He stated that such investments are significant for job creation and economic growth. The minister praised Bolabet as a Zambian company that places the nation’s interests first.
Bolabet’s Chief Financial Officer, Ray Kumwenda, highlighted the project’s broader purpose. He stated that the company is committed to ensuring the project serves both present and future generations. He added that the facility should inspire youth to believe in their dreams and talents. The partnership underscores the role of private sector collaboration in driving national progress. It aims to use sports as a catalyst for youth empowerment and community growth.
