Cameroon Startup Launches On-Demand Services App
A Yaoundé-based technology company has introduced a mobile platform connecting service providers with customers across multiple sectors, marking another entry into Africa’s expanding on-demand economy despite persistent operational challenges.

Platform Targets Multiple Service Categories
Quicky Africa developed its mobile application to cover transport, maintenance, repair, wellness, and lifestyle services throughout Cameroon. Founders Ossoe Pierre Harisson and Liliane Mitambo established the startup in 2025, creating a dual-platform solution available on both iOS and Android systems.
The platform requires users to complete account registration with personal information before accessing verified service providers. Quicky Africa implements background verification procedures for service professionals to enhance user confidence in provider reliability. The system presents transparent pricing structures during booking and payment processes, eliminating surprise costs for customers.
Technology Features Face Implementation Hurdles
The application incorporates geolocation technology and proximity-based matching to connect users with nearby service providers. Payment options include mobile money integration with local telecommunications networks alongside traditional cash transactions. Users can compare multiple service offers through the platform’s interface, with the iOS version displaying specific distances between requested locations and available providers.
Operational challenges remain significant for the expanding platform. Logistical reliability issues affect service delivery consistency across different regions. Quality control mechanisms require continuous refinement to maintain service standards. Geographic coverage limitations particularly impact less populated areas where provider availability remains sparse, potentially restricting market expansion opportunities.
