Eswatini Lottery Expands Operations to Three Southern African Countries
Eswatini Lottery launched services in South Africa, Namibia, and Lesotho providing residents access to its lottery products. CEO Sandlane Zwane stated the development marks a key step in making lottery games more accessible across Southern Africa. The company aims to capture 48% of South Africa’s market share within the next 12 months.

Regional Integration Drives Expansion Strategy
Zwane emphasized the move’s potential to promote regional integration and create economic opportunities. The expansion will drive growth through strategic partnerships benefiting the Kingdom of Eswatini and neighboring nations. Through partnerships with neighboring countries, Eswatini Lottery aims to create collaborative frameworks serving players while uplifting involved communities.
Players in the four countries can register through the app or website. Payment options include credit or debit cards and mobile money services such as eMali and Instacash. Zwane stated the instant payment system provides winners with immediate access to prizes.
South African Market Presents Growth Opportunity
South Africa’s $55 billion betting market with 82% weekly participation presents a lucrative opportunity. The company targets significant market penetration in the region’s largest gambling economy. Eswatini Lottery positions regional expansion as a means to drive revenue growth domestically.
The CEO projected the expansion will create jobs and support local charities and community initiatives. Resources will be reinvested into local programs, including educational and health initiatives. The strategy aims to promote sustainable socioeconomic development throughout the kingdom, creating positive effects on the nation’s economic landscape.
