Authority Implements Identification System to Combat Illegal Operations
NLA Director General Mohammed Abdul-Salam led discussions with LMC Chairman Francis Opoku addressing major sector challenges. “Abdul-Salam highlighted that one of the major challenges of the Authority is clamping down on activities of unregistered lotto operators. The introduction of new identification stickers and other strategies would help manage the situation effectively,” according to an NLA press release.
Executives discussed contracts with KGL, a private technology company managing digital lottery operations partnered with the NLA. The agreements were central to transparency and efficiency enhancement discussions alongside third-party collaborator contracts. The meeting covered LMCs’ Stabilisation Fund reserves for operational stability and Legacy Debt covering outstanding past obligations. The director general encouraged executives to formally submit grievances and proposals for Board deliberations.
