Guinea’s National Lottery has initiated digital transformation incorporating artificial intelligence and cybersecurity measures following participation in an African Lotteries Association seminar addressing fraud detection and player protection challenges.

Continental Conference Drives Modernization Strategy

LONAGUI’s delegation led by Managing Director Mohamed Baba Sylla attended the Côte d’Ivoire seminar. The event addressed AI-driven fraud detection, cybersecurity threats, and regulatory compliance challenges facing modern gaming operations. Marketing and IT staff participation underscored the organization’s commitment to adopting industry best practices.

“At LONAGUI, we are committed to modernising our operations while safeguarding the trust of our players and partners. This seminar was an opportunity to exchange experiences, enrich our strategic thinking and reinforce our commitment to responsible and secure gaming,” Sylla stated. Conference discussions covered AI deployment for fraud detection, risk management, and predictive analysis.

Technology Integration Targets Operational Transparency

LONAGUI plans to implement AI-driven solutions to improve internal processes, enhance operational transparency, and deliver secure user experiences. Seminar experts emphasized that digital transformation has become essential for lotteries pursuing sustainable growth. The organization aims to optimize user experience, detect irregularities, manage risks, and support data-driven decision-making through ethically deployed and monitored AI tools.

A recent GNF 1.64 billion ($188,940) jackpot demonstrated the lottery’s transparency and contribution to national development. The technology adoption initiative positions LONAGUI to establish new standards in security, transparency, and responsible gaming across Guinea’s lottery sector through investments in expertise and digital infrastructure.
