ITHUBA Prepares for National Lottery Launch in Tanzania
Tanzania is preparing for the highly anticipated launch of its National Lottery, a project spearheaded by ITHUBA Tanzania. With official approval from the government, the initiative aims to bring not only entertainment but also economic and social benefits to the country. The lottery is expected to generate over 2,000 jobs and contribute to various development projects, particularly in the sports sector.

A Milestone for Tanzania’s Gaming Industry
During a recent press briefing, Deputy Minister of Finance, Hon. Hamad Hassan Chande, highlighted the significance of the National Lottery for Tanzania’s growth.
“This marks a new era of growth and prosperity for Tanzania’s development journey. The National Lottery of Tanzania, under the strong leadership of ITHUBA, which has invested more than $20 million, is expected to be launched very soon. This project represents a strategic commitment to having a National Lottery of our own that will not only provide opportunities for participants but also generate significant revenue to support the economic and social development of our nation”, Chande stated.
Responsible Gaming and Public Education
Kelvin Koka, Director of ITHUBA Tanzania, emphasized the importance of community involvement in shaping the future of the lottery.
“We are happy to get the official approval of the National Lottery from Hon. Hamad H. Chande, Deputy Minister of Finance. The National Lottery is going to open a new chapter in the gaming industry, we hope to bring entertainment to our games as well as contribute to the development of the Nation”, he said on Clouds FM’s Jahazi program.
Michelle Van Trotsenburg, Head of Marketing and Corporate Affairs at ITHUBA, reinforced this message, stating that the initiative will introduce engaging games tailored to the Tanzanian market.
She also highlighted the company’s commitment to public education on responsible gaming, ensuring that participants fully understand the rules and regulations of lottery play.
