South Sudan Swears in National Communication Authority Board
President Salva Kiir Mayardit administered the oath of office to the National Communication Authority’s newly appointed Chairperson and Board of Directors. The ceremony formalized duties nearly two months after initial appointments. Tejwok Simon Ajak assumed the Chairperson position for the telecommunications regulatory body.

Former Aviation Official Takes Regulatory Role
Eng. Ajak previously served as Deputy Chairperson of e-service and held a position within the South Sudan Civil Aviation Authority. The NCA Board oversees the country’s telecommunications sector operations. President Kiir called on the Board to strengthen the regulatory mandate during the swearing-in ceremony.
The President emphasized ensuring communication services across South Sudan become more reliable and accessible. Services must respond to national development needs according to official directives. The newly sworn-in Board faces expectations to accelerate telecom regulation improvements.
Connectivity Drive Targets National Coverage
The Board will drive connectivity expansion across South Sudan’s territory. The regulatory body holds responsibility for overseeing telecommunications sector compliance and development. The appointments mark formal commencement of the Board’s operational mandate and strategic oversight functions.
