Togo and Mozambique Sign Cybersecurity Cooperation Agreement
Togo and Mozambique formalized a cybersecurity cooperation Memorandum of Understanding during Mozambique’s inaugural International Cybersecurity Week. The agreement establishes a framework for real-time information sharing and operational coordination between both nations’ Computer Security Incident Response Teams. The partnership aims to strengthen incident response capabilities and digital resilience across Africa.

Operational Framework Targets Technical Capacity
The partnership prioritizes structured exchanges between CSIRTs, coordinated activities and operational support. The framework enhances technical and operational capacities of both countries. It creates a platform for collaborative responses to regional cyber threats.
Togo brings rapid advancement recognition in cybersecurity, while Mozambique contributes growing capabilities. Each nation provides valuable experience and strategic priorities to the collaboration. The MoU leverages Togo’s high ranking on the ITU Global Cybersecurity Index.
Joint Training Programs Support Implementation
Togo’s national CERT.tg operator, Cyber Defense Africa, will facilitate technical cooperation enabling information sharing. The agreement covers threat intelligence exchanges and joint incident response exercises. Expected outcomes include secure communication channels between CSIRTs.
