Betting firm WR Bet has signed a Sh5.5 million sponsorship agreement with APS Bomet Football Club, a National Super League team based in Bomet County. The five-month deal provides crucial financial support for the club’s bid to reach Kenya’s top football division, the FKF Premier League.

Financial Boost for Promotion Campaign

APS Bomet FC, which has long relied on community support and donations, will benefit significantly from the new sponsorship. The deal will assist the club in meeting operational costs and maintaining its campaign for promotion to the FKF Premier League. The Sh5.5 million agreement will cover a five-month period, offering timely support during a crucial phase of the season.

WR Bet’s Commitment to Local Football

During a visit to Bomet IAAF Stadium, WR Bet officials, including Regional Director Vadim Daianov, Chief Operations Officer Humphrey Alumasa, and Head of Supervision Grayson Marwa, confirmed that APS Bomet is currently the only National Super League team in the Rift Valley region backed by the company.

“This is the only club we are currently sponsoring, and we will be in Bomet on Sunday to witness the team play, meet the fans, and register them on our platform. We have plenty of merchandise and other goodies for the club and the fans.”

WR Bet aims to involve the local community through both direct support and broader Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts. Marwa encouraged fans to support the team in person and revealed that registered supporters would receive a promo code benefiting the club.

Club Officials Welcome the Support

Club CEO and Chief Inspector of Police Rose Chemutai expressed appreciation for the financial backing, noting the importance of this partnership at a time when the league lacks an official sponsor.

“This is a major boost for us because, as you know, the league currently lacks an official sponsor. Most teams rely on donations and well-wishers to keep running, so this support comes at the right time. We want our home fans to turn up in large numbers to witness this match. They have always stood by us, and this is also an opportunity for them to learn more about the company that has chosen to sponsor us.”
